We are delighted to announce a new FIHRM initiative. FIHRM launched its first regional forum as a conclusion of its annual conference which took place at the International Democracy Museum (Museo Internacional para la Democracia ) in Rosario, Argentina from 28-30 November.
The idea to create a dedicated regional forum first emerged from scoping work undertaken in collaboration with Professor Claire Taylor of the University of Liverpool, and Dr Ailsa Peate of the University of Lancaster. They identified that a large number of FIHRM members are from this region and found there was a real opportunity to create a more dedicated forum for Latin America museums and related organisations.
The aim of the forum is to:
- strengthen the dialogue about democracy and human rights in Latin America in museums and related organisations
- share resources and case studies
- share news about events and exhibitions in Latin America
