In memoriam: Michael Gondwe 1952-2017
Michael’s passion and dedication for museums engaging with their communities was always compelling. He was a speaker at FIHRM’s inaugural and subsequent conferences and we will always remember his important contribution to international dialogue in museums. He understood the impact museums can have in society and he raised awareness on sometimes controversial and challenging issues in Malawi.
Michael was a powerful advocate for museum activity in Africa, and his emotion and positivity will be sorely missed by the international museum community.
